Nick Somers serves as a Managing Partner and Founder of SV Investment Partners. Nick has been in private equity since 1993 and investment banking since 1987, and has completed numerous build-up and growth buyout strategies in the media, marketing, and technology services industries. Prior to SV Investment Partners, Nick was a founder and partner of Greenwich Street Capital Partners, the private equity affiliate of The Travelers. Prior to that, he worked at Morgan Stanley where he served as one of the senior members of the Financial Buyers Group. He began his business career at Chemical Bank.
Nick received an MBA degree from the University of Chicago and a BA degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
Philip Cole serves as a Principal of SV Investment Partners. Philip has 20 years’ operating experience in senior finance positions. Philip joined SV from one of its portfolio companies, PrecisionIR Group, where he served on the Board for 5 years and acted as its Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure at PrecisionIR, Philip played a leading role in SV’s successful efforts to take the Company private. Philip was also instrumental in subsequent financing and acquisition activities. Prior to PrecisionIR, he held roles in marketing services companies, including as Chief Financial Officer of Momentum Integrated Communications, a subsidiary of Omnicom Inc. He started his operating career with Serco Group Plc, one of the world’s leading service and outsourcing companies.
Philip is qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London. He received his BA degree from Kingston University.
C. Michael Armstrong
Mike Armstrong is a Senior Advisor, and previously served as the Chairman of SV. He currently serves on the Board of International Decision Systems.
Mike is the retired Chairman of Comcast Corporation and the former Chairman and CEO of AT&T and Hughes Electronics. Prior to these positions he spent more than three decades with IBM, ultimately serving as Chairman of the Board of IBM World Trade Corporation.
Mike’s currently serves as the Lead Independent Director for IHS Inc., as the Chairman of The Johns Hopkins Medicine Board of Trustees, and as a trustee for The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation and The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Will previously served as a Vice President of SV Investment Partners. Prior to SV, Will was an investment banking analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Will received a BA degree from Yale University, with distinction in History and Political Science majors, and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
